I use documentary storytelling to expand how audiences understand the pressing issues of our time— particularly labor, immigration, nationalism, and the environment, developing projects in close collaboration with communities and partners around the world.

I have won two Emmy Awards for short documentaries I produced and shot across Appalachia and the Midwest with More Perfect Union and have, over the last decade, published with outlets including Time, Arte, Al Jazeera, and The Guardian. Other projects I have worked on have been recognized through screenings and support from organizations including the Guggenheim Foundation and DOK Leipzig.

Rooted in a refugee and immigrant family background, my work centers voices often absent from mainstream narratives. I work and volunteer with NGOs that support asylum seekers and refugees across Europe, the Middle East, and the United States.
